Somali government forces launched operations last night to hunt down suspects reported to be behind the escalating security situation Afgooye town, residents have said.

The soldiers were making direct door-to-door operations intended flush out the suspects after tip off from members of the public.

One of the residents says stated the manhunt had been underway till at dawn.

"Soldiers searched almost every house in the town where they have arrested many people but it seemed to have been looking for individuals who had been identified by members of the public,” he said.

The vice Police Commander says that they do security operation day and night 24/7 and we will continue these operations until we will completely finish Ugus.
