SNA and Amison did operation in Qoryoley town in Lower Shabelle Region.
Somali National Army and Amison conducted security operation as a police commander confirmed to the media.
A police officer told Snaradio that four Al shabaab
were killed in the fighting and while a military side there was neither injury
nor death the police officer said Military took control of the police station
and the administrative headquarters of the town.
The Government troops reportedly pulled out of
Qoryoley and retreated back to African Union troops (AMISOM) bases outside the
town after they were defeated in the battle.
Qoryoley has been under Al shabaab control for seven
years before Somali national army (SNA) and AMISOM seized the town in March,
2014 after an offensive code-named operation Indian Ocean.
