An airstrike in southern Somalia kills Al-Shabab leader Lower Shabelle region.
Kurtowarey is 160 Km south of the capital Mogadishu, but the

US drones are thought to have carried out the latest air
bomb attack in the southern Somalia.
Police Commissioner of lower Shabelle region, Abdi Ibrahim
Shamow told the media that he heard huge explosions, but could confirm the
target of the attack.
The airstrike targeted some of the Al-qaida linked group of
Al-Shabab including a leader for guerilla attacks, Abu Utayba according to
Statement from the Police Commander and District of Lower Shabeelle F this
morning.
There were more such air bomb attacks happened in lower Shabelle region were foreign Al-Shabab leaders were killed including Ahmed Godane who was the leader of Al-Shabab in 2014.
