Heavy clash between government troops, along with African Union peacekeepers and Al Shabaab fighters, have killed at least six Al Shabab in south of Somalia's Bay region, officials and witnesses said.
The battle erupted when government and AMISOM troops
launched an attack on bases manned by Al Shabaab in the outside Warbow area,
50Km away from Diinsoor town in southwestern Somalia, witnesses said.
Mohamed Ibrahim Nur, Diinsoor district commissioner said at
least six Al Shabab militants were killed in the fighting, adding that
coalition forces took several AK-47s from Al shabab.
"Warabow area is under control of government troops backed by AMISOM forces after militants fled", Mr. Nur said in an interview with to the National media.
