The Federal Government of Somalia, in partnership with the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), conducted an airstrike against alShabaab in the vicinity of Bulafullay near Dinsor.

According to initial assessments, the strike destroyed one compound and killed one al-Shabaab member.

No civilians were killed or injured in the attack, according to initial assessments. The

Federal Government of Somalia and AFRICOM take great measures to prevent civilian casualties in the fight against the terrorist group and investigate each reported allegation fully.

These efforts contrast with the indiscriminate attacks that al-Shabaab regularly conducts against the civilian population.
