Somali National Army's Commandos Division arrested three senior Al-Shabaab commanders from Hiiraan, Middle Shabelle and Lower Shabelle regions after conducting operations in those regions in the south and central Somalia according to the officials.

In the other hand Somali National Army killed an al-Shabaab commander in security operations in southern Somalia.

 

According Somali National Army Radio (SNARADIO), Somali forces killed Sheikh Mohamed Suleiman who was head of radicalization department of al-Shabaab.

 

The officer who spoke to the SNARADIO said operations took place in Middle and Lower Shabelle regions.

 

Somali military backed by AMISOM forces have intensified operations in central and southern Somalia to liberate villages from al-Shabaab.
