As the deputy police Officer of Jowhar say indicate that additional forces were deployed into the city a head of the long-awaited upcoming regional state formation conference.

Gelle Issack Warsame, the deputy police Officer of Jowhar told the media that the town is making its final preparations of hosting the federal state formation conference for middle Shabelle and Hiiraan region.

 

He said security of the district and its nearby environs were tightened by special trained forces from Somali National Army (SNA) that are in charge of the protection of the participants of the meeting.

 

Residents in Jowhar, 90 kilometers north-west of Mogadishu have been asked to work with security forces to thwart any possible attack by Al shabaab against the conference.
