Mogadishu, April 12, 2025 – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has sent congratulations and commendations to the various divisions, commands, and ranks of the Somali National Army on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of its founding.

The President highlighted the victories achieved by the Somali National Army in the fight against terrorism and the liberation of Khawarij, praising their sacrifice and unwavering commitment to defending the country and ridding it of invading khawarij.

"Our forces have sacrificed their lives to defend our country and secure the future of generations to come. In recent times, they have made significant progress in the fight against terrorism, liberating many important areas and inflicting heavy losses on anti-peace groups.”

The President of the Republic also emphasized the Federal Government of Somalia’s commitment to strengthening, equipping, and improving the welfare of the Somali National Army, and he called on the Somali people to continue and double their unwavering support for the nation's forces.
