The Somali National Army (SNA) has made another significant stride in its ongoing efforts to combat Khawarij, particularly targeting Khawarij in the Ceelka-Nuurgadoow area of Al-Kowsar district, in Middle Shabelle region of Hirshabelle state.

This well-coordinated operation, carried out in close collaboration with local defense forces, aimed to neutralize Khawarij who had gathered at a local well.

 

According to the military, the operation was successful in killing with several Khawarij and causing substantial damage to their hideouts, with heavy artillery deployed to ensure maximum impact. This marks another milestone in the Somali National Army (SNA) campaign to eliminate Alshabaab from regions still under there are heding.

 

The SNA's actions reflect their continuing commitment to restoring stability in country and preventing Khawarij from finding safe havens in the country. By targeting such strongholds, they aim to further disrupt Khawarij operations and protect the Somali population from the threat posed by Al-Shabaab and other extremists.

 

This operation adds to the broader anti-terrorism campaign in Somalia, with forces making steady gains against Al-Shabaab in various regions, underscoring the Somali military's determination to reclaim control over territories still under extremist influence.
