The brave soldiers of the 9th Battalion, 60th Division of the Somali National Army carried out a planned operation targeting Khawarij militants in villages under the Moorigaabey area of the Bakool region.
This operation was launched after intelligence reports revealed that the Khawarij were gathering in the villages of Mudule Shegeele, Ceel-Lahelay, and Bisigli, where they were planning attacks against civilians and public security.
The commander of the 9th Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Yoonis Aadan Xasan, who led the operation, confirmed that the troops attacked the Khawarij from multiple directions, forcing the enemy to flee in disarray. The strength of the Somali National Army and the strategic assault disrupted the Khawarij's plans, inflicting heavy losses on them.
