The Somali National Army (SNA) carried out a well-planned operation in the Barag Ali Gadud area, located 25 km from the city of Harardheere.

This operation, successfully conducted by SNA units, targeted positions where the Khawarij had been organizing attacks against the local population.

The operation was led by the Deputy Commander of the 17th Brigade, Lt. Col. Ali Ahmed Hashi (Cali Cageey), the SNA successfully destroyed militant bases and overran their gathering points.

Lt. Col. Cali Cageey stated that the troops killed many Khawarij, while others fled the scene, some sustaining injuries.

The enemy suffered significant losses in both lives and army equipment, dealing a major blow to their plans against civilians.
