The Command of Somali National Army (SNA) has launched a training program aimed at enhancing knowledge to officers and deputy officers on civilian protection during. The participants have been selected from various divisions of the Somali National Army.
The head of the Civil-Military Coordination Unit ("CIMIC"), Colonel Iman Mahmoud Ali, who organized the training, emphasized to the officers the critical importance of safeguarding civilians during operations against khawarij.

The Civil-Military Coordination Unit, responsible for ensuring civilian safety, regularly conducts short training sessions for Somali National Army officers and deputy officers on civilian protection. This is crucial because insurgents often use civilians as human shields, and the training aims to prevent any harm to the public.

Meanwhile, the Somali National Army Command, currently engaged in efforts to eliminate khawaarij, is also implementing measures to prevent any harm or hardship to the Somali people.
