Mogadishu, February 20, 2025 – The Somali National Army and brave local residents have achieved a historic victory in a desperate battle launched by the Al-Shabaab Khawarij in the areas of Ceel Cali Axmed, Cali Fooldheere, Alkowsar, and Daarunimca in the Middle Shabelle region.
The enemy was decisively defeated in the battle, with more than 100 khawaarij killed. Additionally, the army captured prisoners and weapons that the enemy intended to use to harm our honorable people.
Currently, the army and civilians are relentlessly pursuing the fleeing enemy, clearing the wilderness of their remnants.
This victory demonstrates the unwavering commitment of Somali National Army and the local forces to eradicating the Khawarij and ensuring that the country becomes peaceful and prosperous.
