The Police of the Somali regional State of Puntland has on Monday received 40 vehicles as part of the Somali Stability Fund through Danish Demining Group.

These vehicles are for four districts in Puntland namely Harfo, Gadob, Jiiraan, Dan-goroyo and Iskushuban and they are mainly for the security activities in these districts.

After receiving the vehicles the Vice President of Puntland who is currently the acting President has wholeheartedly thanked the Somali Stability Fund and the Danish Demining Group on how they closely support the regional States in the country and how they devotedly work on the security issues in the countrywide.

The acting President has also mentioned that these vehicles will play major role in the security situation of Puntland State, specially the districts which they are now designated for.

Eventually the VP has handed over the forty vehicles to the deputy Police commissioner of Puntland State Jama Sahar-diid, so that he also do the handing over to the police commanders of the four districts which the vehicles are allocated for.
