The President of the federal republic of Somalia His Excellence Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud has on Saturday sent his candid condolence to Mohamed Ali Samatar a former Somali Military Field Marshal who has on Saturday died in Virginia a State in the USA.

The President has as well sent special condolence to the Somali citizens, the family and the relatives of the late Ali Samatar.

The late Ali Samatar has been under several titles in the former military government of Somalia, which has toppled from power in early 1991, including the deputy President, Prime Minister and the Minister for defense.

The Somali President had described late Ali Samatar as a national hero who has achieved many tangible developments for the nation, such as the structure of the Somali national army, which has eventually led the Somali national army to be the second strongest military in the African continent.

Finally President Hassan has prayed to God to take the soul of the late Ali Samatar to paradise, and urged his family members and relatives to be patient.
