The heroes of Somali National Army have carried out operations that destroyed hideouts used by Khawarij in the areas of the Lower Shabelle region

The operation was executed by brave soldiers from the 7th Battalion of the 12th April Division of the SNA Land Forces.

Troops conducted the operation in the areas of Cumaf Beere, Faayusuf, and Cusmaan Dure, all of which fall under Afgooye District.

The operation was led by the Deputy Commander of the 7th Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Maxamed Cabdullaahi Caraaye "Foo Foo,” who stated that the forces dismantled improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted by the militants along roads used by civilians, as well as destroying locations used by the extremists to target the population.

The army safely detonated several IEDs laid by the militants, while the brave forces continue to pursue the fleeing remnants of the extremist group.
