The Commander of the 251st Battalion under the 25th Brigade of the 27th Division of the Somali National Army (SNA), Mohamed Hassan Abuukar (Dhala Dheere), led a security operation in areas under the districts of Afgooye and Awdheegle in Lower Shabelle region.

The operation specifically targeted the areas of Shabeley, Cismaan Dure, Boolo Doonka, Bangaleey, and Waan-Daasha, where extremist Al-Shabaab were reported to have established positions used to harass and harm local civilians.

Thae Commander Dhala Dheere stated that the objective of the operat<ion was to dismantle the hideouts used by the militants. He also urged local residents to cooperate with the army to help completely eliminate the group, whose influence in the region has significantly weakened.
