The symposium, officially opened by the President of Rwanda, H.E. Paul Kagame, brought together African Land Forces commanders to discuss continental security issues, the impact of unmanned aerial systems (drones) on modern warfare, the strengthening of military cooperation among African nations, and ways to enhance collaboration between armed forces and civilian communities.

In his remarks, Brig. Gen. Sahal underscored the importance of sharing experiences and fostering cooperation among African forces to promote regional peace and stability.

Participants also emphasised the need to establish a unified framework that would enable African Land Forces to coordinate and operate jointly in addressing emerging security challenges across the continent.
