A delegation from the European Union Training Mission in Somalia (EUTM Somalia) today paid an official visit to the headquarters of the Somali Armed Forces Radio in Mogadishu.

Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly received by the Director of the Armed Forces Radio, Mr. Mohamed Muse, along with several staff members of the station. During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the station’s daily operations, its role in disseminating news, promoting public awareness, and boosting the morale of the Somali Armed Forces.

The EUTM Somalia officials, accompanied by representatives from the Ministry of Defence — including the Director of Information, Mr. Hanad Mohamed Hussein — commended the professionalism and dedication of the radio’s staff. They also pledged to strengthen cooperation and provide further support in the areas of media training and military journalism equipment.

For his part, the Director of the Armed Forces Radio, Mr. Mohamed Muse, thanked the visiting delegation and officials, highlighting the importance of enhancing the skills and capacity of media personnel to better serve the national interest.

The SNARadio remains one of the key media institutions serving both the military and the public, playing a vital role in promoting the ongoing efforts to secure peace and stability across the country.
