Security forces in Beledhawo district have arrested a Khawarij member who was allegedly planning to plant explosives along a key road frequently used by civilians and security personnel.

According to officials, the arrest took place during a well-planned operation by the Somali National Army, which apprehended the man as he was attempting to bury two landmines intended to harm civilians and damage vehicles passing through the area.

Commanders leading the operation confirmed that the arrested man of found in possession of tools used for planting the explosives. He is currently under investigation to identify any associates involved in the terror plot.
