The Minister of Defence, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, today attended the opening of bids for companies supplying food and fuel to Somalia's security institutions.
In his remarks, Minister Fiqi underlined the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring a fair, transparent, and competitive process in awarding these contracts, with the goal of guaranteeing uninterrupted delivery of essential supplies to the armed forces and other security agencies.

The Minister emphasised that any company awarded a contract will be held fully accountable for the timely and proper execution of its responsibilities, and that all services provided must comply with the agreed-upon standards and contractual terms.


He further noted that this initiative is part of the Government’s broader efforts to strengthen governance, transparency, and efficiency within the security sector, while encouraging Somali companies to play a greater role in supporting national institutions and public services.
