The Minister of Defence, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, attended a ceremony honouring Captain Mohamed Muse Mohamed, who became the first Somali National Armed Forces officer in 40 years to graduate from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.
The ceremony was organised by the British Ambassador to Somalia, H.E. Charles King; the UK Defence Attaché, Captain James Edwards; the Deputy Commander of the SNAF Land Forces, Brigadier General Abdullahi Adan Hussein (Cirro); and senior officers from the Somali National Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defence, and the British Embassy.

Minister Fiqi congratulated Captain Mohamed Muse for his dedication and commitment to advancing the knowledge and professionalism of the Somali National Armed Forces.


The Minister also commended the Government of the United Kingdom for its continued partnership with Somalia, particularly in the areas of security, military training, and the strengthening of defence institutions.
