The Commander of the Somali Navy and Coast Guard (SNCG), General Abdiwahab Abdullahi Omar, held key meetings with leaders of a shipbuilding company during his official visit to Italy.

Discussions focused on training Somali naval personnel in shipbuilding and enhancing technical expertise. The shipbuilding company pledged to support Somalia in constructing vessels and providing specialized training for Somali Navy officers and deputy officers.

In addition, General Abdiwahab held an important meeting with senior executives of ELT Group, a company specializing in electronic defense systems and related technologies, to explore avenues of cooperation in strengthening Somalia’s maritime defense capabilities.
