The Somali National Army (SNA) has carried out security operations in the areas of Ma'alinka, Baladul Amiin, Omar Beere, and Balow in Lower Shabelle region.

During the operations, the forces destroyed hideouts used by Al-Shabaab to stage attacks and destabilize the region. The army also successfully cleared roadside bombs planted by the terrorists, which posed a serious threat to the lives of Somali civilians.
