The Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, today held a meeting with Ms. Qurat-ul-Ain Sadozai, Director of Mission Support for the United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS), at his office in Mogadishu.
The discussions centred on strengthening the strategic partnership between the Ministry of Defence and UNSOS, with a focus on supporting security operations, equipping the Somali National Army (SNA), and enhancing the capacity of Somalia’s security institutions.
Minister Fiqi expressed appreciation for UNSOS’s vital role in providing non-lethal logistical support to the Somali armed forces and acknowledged its significant contributions to the progress achieved in countering Khawarij.
