The Somali National Army (SNA) has announced that at around 7:00 a.m. this morning, a planned operation was carried out in Warta Eey Duure, located 30 kilometers north of Hudur town, resulting in the killing of a senior commander from the Al-Shabaab.
The Khawarij, identified as Cabdullaahi Abuukar Cali, was among the top leaders of Al-Shabaab in Bakool region. He had previously held various positions and was currently serving as the Khawarij regional head of finance. He was also responsible for the forced recruitment of young children into the Al-Shabaab ranks.
SNA officials confirmed that the operation was precisely targeted and successfully dismantled an Al-Shabaab network operating in the area.
