
Somali National Army has carried out successful operations against khawarij in Bakool region
The Somali National Army has carried out operations against Al-Shabaab along the key road connecting the town of hudur to the Qurac-Jome area in the Bakool region.
The operation, which lasted several days, has been conducted several villages, including Aboore, Banjinaay, Teed, Emed-Koorey, and Ees-Gaab, eventually reaching Qurac-Joome. There, they joined forces with local troops who are part of the fight against khawarij.
Lieutenant Colonel Yoonis Adan Hassan, the commander of the 9th battalion of the 60th division of SNA who led the operation, told to SNARADIO that the forces achieved significant victories and successfully reopened the critical road, which had been closed for several years.
