Somali National Army special forces Danab has carried out a well-planned operation during the midnight hours in the village of Yuumbis, located approximately 7 kilometers northwest of the Barriire area in the Lower Shabelle region.

During the operation, 8 members of the Al-Shabaab was killed. These individuals were reportedly operating from compounds where they were preparing acts of violence and instability.

Among those eliminated was a senior Al-Shabaab commander identified as Abdi Jabbaar, also known as "Jaabir." He was responsible for orchestrating explosive attacks on behalf of the Khawaarij in the Lower Shabelle region.

His death marks a significant blow to the Khawarij, particularly to its explosives network, as he was considered a key figure within their ranks.
