Ahmed Moalim Fiqi today attended a ceremony at Dhagabadan Training Centre marking the inauguration of completed infrastructure works and the handover of critical non-lethal military assistance from the European Union, including vehicles and essential equipment for the Somali National Army.

The event was attended by a high-level EU delegation led by Mr. Jonas Jonsson, Head of Division at the EU External Action Service, European Union in Somalia Ambassador Karin Johansson, and the Deputy Chief of the SNA.

Minister Fiqi thanked the EU for its continued support, noting that the assistance comes at a pivotal moment as Somali forces intensify operations against Al-Shabaab and stabilise liberated areas.
