Somali National Army (SNA), specifically the Danab Commandos of the 162nd unit and the 56th battalion of the 11th brigade under the 43rd division, with the Jubbaland State's Darawish forces, have carried out a large-scale, planned military operation in several areas along the banks of the Jubba River. The operation targeted the areas of Malaleey, Araare, Koban, JanaaleJay, and Reeynero, all located in the Lower Jubba region.

This well-coordinated offensive specifically targeted hideouts of the extremist  Al-Shabaab Khawaarij in those regions. According to field commanders, the joint forces demonstrated high levels of coordination and alertness throughout the mission.

Military leaders leading the operation told Somali National Army Radio that they successfully destroyed key enemy positions that had served as hideouts and planning bases for attacks against civilians in the region.

The Somali National Army and Jubbaland security forces have reaffirmed their commitment to continuing operations aimed at restoring peace and completely eliminating the extremist presence, so that the people of Lower Jubba can enjoy a peaceful life free from fear and oppression.
