
Somali National Army has retaken control of the Sabiid and Caanoole areas in the Lower Shabelle region.
In a planned operation carried out by the army in those areas, the Khawarij were defeated and forced to flee from the locations where they had been hiding.
Col Ahmed Gaashaan, Commander of the 7th Battalion of the 12th Division of the Somali National Army, told the Army Media that this victory is significant and reflects the ongoing efforts to eliminate the Khawarij Alshabaab.
The commander added that the army is currently conducting security operations aimed at stabilizing the area and preventing any plots by the Khawarij Alshabaab.
Intensive security investigations are currently underway in the areas of Sabiid and Caanoole to ensure the safety of civilians and to prevent anything that could threaten the peace and stability of the region.
Operations like these demonstrate the strong commitment of the Somali National Army to liberate the country from the Khawarij and to lead the Somali people toward a peaceful life and sustainable development.
