Somali National Army (SNA) has conducted consecutive security operations over the past three days in the areas of Lukugooraw, Xaaway-Heedaw, Dabgal, and Ceel-Lahelay in the Bakool region

Deputy Commander of the 9th Battalion of the 60th Division, Captain Cilmi Aadan Isaaq, confirmed to SNARADIO that the forces reached these villages, which were previously used as hideouts by Al-Shabaa. He stated that the Khawarij could not withstand the pressure of the offensive and fled from their hiding spots.

The Commander added that the militants' hideouts were destroyed as part of the ongoing operations aimed at clearing the country of terrorist elements.

The Somali National Army remains committed to eliminating the threat of Al-Shabaab to ensure lasting peace and stability for the Somali people.
