The Chief of Defence Forces.of Somali National Army, General Odaw Yusuf Rage, held a meeting in Mogadishu with the Commander of the Italian Armed Forces, General Luciano Portolano, who is on an official visit to Somalia.

The meeting focused on strengthening the cooperation and collaboration between the defence forces of the two countries. General Odaw expressed his gratitude to the Italian government for its consistent support to the Somali National Army, particularly in the areas of training and capacity building.

The meeting underscored the importance of close cooperation between Somalia and Italy in efforts to enhance security and peace in the country.
