The Council of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia held their weekly meeting, focusing on national security and the ongoing military operations aimed at eliminating extremist Khawarij.

The operations, led by the Somali National Army and local forces, have recently achieved significant victories.

The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, featured key reports concerning the safety of aircraft operating within Somalia and the challenges facing aviation. The government emphasized its commitment to ensuring public safety while addressing these issues and advancing the implementation of the national policy on employee ranks and salaries.

Additionally, the Cabinet promoted Mr. Ahmed Jama Omar to the diplomatic rank of Ambassador, recognizing his knowledge and extensive experience.
