The brave forces of the Somali National Army (SNA)and the local Macawiisley uprising in the Hiiraan region, launched a planned operation targeting an Al-Shabaab Khawaarij base in the Ceel-Dheere area, located approximately 8 kilometers from the town of Halgan in Buulo-Burte district, Hiiraan region.

The operation, which was carried out with tactical precision, resulted in a significant victory. At least 10 members of the Al-Shabaab militants were confirmed killed during the raid.

This attack is part of ongoing efforts to eliminate Al-Shabaab insurgents and reflects the determination and vigilance of both the Somali National Army and the local communities supporting them.

The Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Mr. Abdullahi Mohamed Ali (Sanbaloolshe), and the Commander of the Somali National Army’s Ground Forces, General Sahal Abdullahi, remain on the frontlines in Hiiraan region, where they are leading the coordination and planning of operations aimed at liberating areas still under militant control within the Hirshabelle State.
