Somali National Army, in collaboration with local forces Macawiisley, carried out a planned offensive against the Khawarij hiding in the bush between Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle regions.

The operation specifically targeted the area of Ceel-Hareeri in Hiiraan region, where the troops directly struck a gathering point used by the Khawarij. During the operation, a large number of Khawarij were killed, and the forces cleared the  hideouts that the Khawarij had previously used for shelter.

The bodies of the Khawarij were left at the scene, signaling a significant blow to the Khawarij. The joint forces from Hiiraan and the Somali National Army achieved a major success in the operation, reclaiming strategic bases previously held by the Khawarij on the border between the Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle regions.
