The Federal Republic of Somalia on Wednesday condemned the terrorist attack at DusitD2 hotel in Nairobi, Kenya that at least 14 people left dead and more others injured Tuesday.

This heinous act of terror, which routinely targets innocent people, once again reveals the hideous face of terrorism.

"The Federal Republic of Somalia extends its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wishes speedy recovery of the wounded, affirming its full solidarity with the Government of the Republic of Kenya in its war against terrorism”, said the statement from Somali Ministry of foreign Affairs.

Al-Shabaab militants claimed the responsibility for the attack at the hotel in Nairobi Westlands.

It said that its fighters killed about 50 kenyans during the terrorist attack there.

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta said the attack was over, thanking the security agencies for their "swift and quick” responses against the militants who have in the complex for more than ten hours.
