The President of South Sudan Salva Kir has on Saturday received credentials from Somali ambassador to South Sudan honorable Hussein Hajji Ahmed Mohamoud.

The ceremony of receiving the credentials from the Somali ambassador to South Sudan took place at the State House in Jubba, and at the ceremony there were Ministers in the cabinet of South Sudan and Somali diplomats from the Somali embassy in South Sudan.

The newly appointed Somali ambassador to South Sudan has conveyed greeting on behalf of the Somali President to President Kir.

There are thousands of Somali nationals who are living in South Sudan mainly for business purpose activities, but in recent years their business was hampered by constant political fighting in the country.

Hussein Hajji will be the second Somalia ambassador to Somalia since South Sudan retained its independence from Sudan.
